Re: Bent spindles?
Mike, you probably remember seeing this on my Build thread! =P
I didn't mean that they were actually "bent" but it looks like whoever had this built had it custom made to be at an angle of some sort. I could flip it over, but then I would have to have the steering arm re-welded on the other side. Dunno if it's worth it but I guess I'll have to flip it and see how the camber looks, then decide if i'll get a stock straight one or just have it re-welded! |

Re: Bent spindles?
I'm curious on why the angle myself? I'b leave them alone and see if you can come across a used set of stock ones for cheap?

Re: Bent spindles?
that's defiantly a homemade lift. when you get more clearance above the tires you can add a larger tire but it will scrub the back of the fenders, by moving the axle forwards you have clearance all the way around for the larger tires.

Re: Bent spindles?
i gotcha! and yeah it's a homemade lift but it looks stronger than anything i've seen so far. should live up to the test, just got new shocks the other day and today I was working on extending the rear of my trailer out to fit the front tires of the buggy. check it out.
before after still have to raise those outer boards but it should be done tomorrow! i'll get some LED lights for it and have the buggy ready to roll into the shop by the end of this week! |

Re: Bent spindles?
ALright, I must be missing something here because I asked a guy who was selling his stock spindles to put a square on them and they were NOT 90*. He said they were at a 22* angle upwards. So I'm thinking that the receiving end must be bent down and not level, so that the angle of the spindles would make the axle level... am i correct?
