If you offroad with your cart I would suggest not to mount the charger on-board. There's nowhere to keep it dry and have good ventilation.

Unless you have to have an onboard charger, use it as a stand alone unit and avoid any water issues.

I stole an idea that I saw on TerryH's cart. His cart is the first picture and you will see more if you head to his build log. Mine is the next two pictures. I don't do much off-roading and trying to stay away from water so up until now this is working great for me. Mine obviously looks a little more cramped with all the wires now attached, but I think it still gets plenty of ventilation.

If you want my spec drawings for an EZGO PDS just PM me and I can email them to you.

Hello I have one of these charges on my boat.
I just bought it off eBay it was used. I hooked it up correctly.
It started up fine fan kicked on it is suppose to go to float mode after
Charge is complete but it stays on fast charge any thoughts thanks. Jay

The protec charger should be avoided. Call the factory or your seller for warranty service.
