I don't think I would try this however someone was once told by some older folks that AC water is the way to go

But seriously, I tried some of the battery "snake oil", took voltage measurements before & after - for weeks after - and the stuff did not make one bit of difference in the batteries.

i do believe there is some truth to the claims of pulse desulfators. heres the results from some tests i performed on a badly used/abused 5Ah SLA. no miracles, but a substantial improvement in capacity and voltage under load.
