Default Re: G29 - Tire/wheel & HD spring upgrade recommendations after Jakes LT install

Stock wheels are 3.5/3.5 offset, 3.5 inch in and out from the hub. Most lifts run 3+5 or 2+5, that is 1.5 inches more on the outside, a half in less inside for the 8" wide wheel and 1.5 less for the 7" wide wheel. This is usually good on a 4-6 inch lift though the LT lift is maybe higher yet. It is common to run spacers on the rear to make it wider and closer to the LT front. I don't think I would put them on the front unless you need them. Probably 1 inch would be ok just not sure you would need them. Spacers are harder on bearings and stuff but not so much at lower speeds most golf cart run. They can cause steering issues on some front ends as they change the geometry a little, or change steering effort or feel.

The lift should always list what size tires fit. Most all 4" lifts fit 22 tires so you may be able to go larger if you want. HD springs can ride hard. What I did making my lift is put multiple holes that stood the stock shock up straighter and make it stiffer. So I could adjust it for hauling heavy loads in the dump box. It worked great but yes it rides harder when they are set harder. I haul less wood and dirt now so I set them back down and it sure rides nicer with one or two on it. With too much weight it will rub the tires now. I don't know if you could do that but it does work.

My 2 $$ FWIW
Mine is an 2018 DRIVE2 EFI that looks like yours without EFI on the side making me think yours is electric.
This my 1st ever cart and chose it with it being in my price range, I bought it stock and did the mods myself and discovered that I shouldn't have mistakenly figured that all Drive2 carts are the same, not so, with that being said... if in doubt ask B4 ordering.
As for the HD coil rear springs I did order a set only to return since the only difference was mine were a tad shorter but diameter of coil and metal was the same, good decision on that one.
My ride is good and it only sags a little when I hook up my trailer & boat and that is with the added leverage with the rear seat hanging out the back. No to the HD springs IMO.
Tires I have are 14" lo profile measuring 20" OD with 1-3/4 or 2" spacers on rear only and with a 3" lift kit, not Jake's. In my case the lift widened my front stance and the reason for the rear spacers.
Lot of compliments on the stance, it really looks conservatively BOSS! again IMO :>)
Headlight kit was from M JX and was their top LED of the line at 324+, it looks great...10 away but is a very poor fit to the body contours and was quite a b***h to attach the fastners and there is no obvious way to adjust the headlights that shine near the top of a pick up cab, this wasexact to the specs n template's as well as watching their video several times before attempting to make the cuts. Like I said, 10' away n not using the headlights it looks sweet, the DRL ights are an asset to being seen from oncoming or others backing out of drives, the LEDS a real bright...I did add a third brake just under the roof although probably not necessary.
Overall it was a fun project
OK yea, back to the DRIVE..DRIVE2 compatibility, I called, emailed and without a response, decided from the pics and somewhat confusing descriptions I figured a Drive was a Drive especially when the pics looked the same i ordered the rear seat kit. Huge mistake.
The saying that pics are better than a 1000 words, not so. I was the one saying 1000 words not only at the vendor not responding to my ?s but more to me for not getting it when they didn't respond.
Well with alot of measurements, cutting, blending and welding my existing framework, after 2 days I got an OEM looking rear seat installed with no thanks to J***n's Carts that on their greeting said We're open for Business, leave message, all returns are at your expense if miss ordered. Got it!
Sure wish they'd returned my call and or email. I do accept blame but it still p***ed me off. By the way, the shipping carton was destroyed due to poor packaging, I did check for damage or missing parts before signing off with Fed X.
A couple of pics B4 n after.
