I sure hope that wasn't directed solely toward me. I know how kids can be, as I am a father of 3, but I was just looking for technical info... It appears that someone else was needing this same information, so I gather that my stupidity was actually helpful to those individuals.

thanks for the info....ive been tryin 2 get this fixed 4 awhile now.....will this also help with a tight peddal ? explain.....when i touch the peddal it tries 2 crank and when im riding it will crank with the slightest pressure on the gas ped....thats when it backfires

Sounds like you may need to adjust your switch a bit, then your spring timing. I was having the same issue when making this adjustment. Had to adjust the *plunger looking thing* out a bit to get it to contact later in the pedal stroke. Once this was solved, I was able to adjust my spring as initially directed by Brew. Worked great. Not a single backfire since.

the lil bic pen sping idea was awesome and worked....i laced 2 springs together....now if i could just get more torque any sugestions ? got a fellow thats got a industrial clutch...gona try that....anything that might b a CHEAP FIX ? can u buy any kinda "power reeds " for a 2cycle robins ?

shorter belt helped me,but seem to loose maybe a mph or 2 top end,but i can climb hills and go over 8-10 inch stumps in the woods now

You will lose a little top end with a shorter belt but not enough to notice.

The "shorter belt" you need is a Dayco HP3004 by the way - as mentioned above You will lose a slight bit of top end but the tradeoff is substantial (especially after the new belt breaks in a bit)

ill give it a try......tks....and this will fit a 2 cycle robins ?....i guess this will b better n snow and wtr since its 4 a snowmobie or is there anything else that will help wth wtr and dampness ? yal sho have been alot of help !!!!
