![]() Hey everyone.
I have a g29 I’m looking to upgrade the controller. I like the otf navitas system. I was wondering if anyone could speak to the difference in performance between the two different amperages. Cart is stock other than a lift and 23” tires. It’s used for .5 mile runs on flat pavement back and forth to my dock, so I was hoping to pick up some speed. TIA |

![]() From my experience i'd recommend either the 440a Navitas or the 400a Alltrax controller. As the stock Hitachi motor is a known weakpoint, a 600a controller is a bit too much... max speed ( 22-23 mph ) most likely the same ( 440a vs 600a ). And the OTF... it isn't really necessary, you can adjust everything with the app, my order of the Navitas w/o OTF saved 120$ also.
![]() PS. The performance of the 440a Navitas ( AC ) is pretty awesome! |

![]() Thanks for the info, I hadn’t realized that you would still be able to adjust the controller with the app without the OTF module. But it certainly isn’t worth the money if I can do it with my phone.

![]() Yes, the App is nice and it's free...
I think with 23" tires you should get ~ 25 mph. |

![]() I replaced my stock controller in my 2016 G29 AC with a 600 AMP Navitas controller. Absolutely love it. I also bought the OTF controller. Jury is still out if I like the OTF controller or not. Kind of large and cumbersome. I have yet to find a suitable mounting spot on my dash, and am not sure if I will.

![]() My idea with the OTF ( if i'd have one ) were mounting under the seat...

![]() With the stock motor there won't be a difference. That motor is a liability. My 2015 g29 motor burned out and I went with the Navitas AC conversion with the 600a controller, which is 100% worth it.
