Workhorse dump bed on TXT!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey guys, just though I would share my bed with you . But seriously, I probably put more time and research into this addition than any other accessory! The bed on my cart was going to see a LOT of usage and I wanted something that was strong, durable, and well built. All the aftermarket beds I did not like ! The aluminum and steel was very flimsy. Several club members had them and they were bent and rusted. The plastic aftermarket bed was also cheaply made and was not sturdy enough. I loved the workhorse bed because that hoss was well-built and it had a dumping feature.
So, I stopped by an old friends place that I did some Jeep work for a while back. He owns an EZGO dealership and he has several used workhorse beds. I bought one and with some minor modifications, this bad boy found a new home! It is very secure, does not rattle, strong as a mofo, and has a dumping feature. The total cost was around $400, about the same as the aftermarket, but 10x better ! Here are a few pics. Also, if you live in or around north Georgia, and like the bed, PM me. I think he has a few more. |

Good job! I've seen a couple of these in person where the bed leaned backwards when it was closed. Yours is straight and looks really great!

Looks good. The way the front of the box slants back just a bit will give you plenty to space between the box and the seat. My workhorse has the metal box and it is very tight between seatback and the box. If I was thinking of any kind of solid enclosure on the back, there would be no room between seat and box to make it fit. I'd also worry that a fabric enclosure might snag on the box when lifting it.

Re: Workhorse dump bed on TXT!!!!!!!!!!!
I put a workhorse bed on a CC once. Had to shorten it so it didn't look like it would tip the cart over backwards if I filled it, LOL. I installed the bed and the electric over hydraulic dump ram. This was my wife's first cart.... not bad looking for a girl's cart

Re: Workhorse dump bed on TXT!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad ya’ll like the bed . It is holding up really well. That one looks pretty good too Scotty. And as for the dog, we have a rotti and my wife saw one she really wanted at the local fair. You had to climb one of those ladders that flip you to win it. Little did the guy know that I climb ladders all the time at work and I have really good balance. $2 later I had one big stuffed dog. Then the manager said I wasn’t allowed to play anymore .
