Default Disc brake install, any prep work?

I just ordered an Ausco Disc brake kit thanks to Cart Parts Plus.

Is there any real prep work that I should do before I get the kit?

Congrats!

Just remove all of your old rear brake parts on the rear, save some of the parts you will need them again. Did you get a four wheel set or two wheel?

It's the two wheel rear kit.

Just added the set last week. It's a simple install. A little tweaking on adjustment but work well when finished. Think you'll like the kit.

I know you can't use 8" wheels, but will the 10" wheels out now for "non-lifted" carts work?

I have been looking at thesee, have no desire to lift the cart, but would like to add disc brakes.

I have 12" wheels and they work fine with a good bit of clearance. Should be okay on 10" with straight bell wheels.

10" is the smallest you can go. It doesn't matter if you are lifted or not. I have installed several of these kits. Never had any issues.

I also recommend you replace the brk cables also.
