The reason I/we asked is because Club Car changed the engine (although they LOOK the same) and transaxle halfway through 1996!
the serial number tells a lot... the week of manufacture is critical in 1996.

EG = Carry All 2 - gas
96 = 1996
44 = 44th week of manufacture

IF... the other cart has the serial number something like... EG 9607-xxxxxx,
the coil won't work on the cart your trying to get running!

AG= DS - gas
96= 1996
02= 2nd week of manufacture

That's an early version with a separate ignitor, I'm sorry to say.... that coil won't work.
