most likely could get by with just getting a new rod and repairing the block with jb weld. depending what else went on inside the case. mine broke the oil slinger and went up into the low oil level sensor. also broke the metal plate off the cam gear, replaced the rivets with bolts on the cam gear and removed the oil sensor and put it back together and it ran fine for 2 years or so until I pulled the motor to do clone motor swap.
