Thanks for pics..

Sol. is new style

Brake is old style

If brake is working, LEAVE IT ALONE .. Don't fiddle with lever..

You may need to replace Parking/emergency brake in near future.
go ahead and find a local source or check on Ez Go website for current price.

Replacement is not hard--- post for tips if you need to replace it.

Well at least the solenoid is newer I guess. So for the brakes, I should just leave them alone unless I get a complete lock up? (what do I do if this actually does happen to get it unstuck?).

My other concern are the 12v trojans, If this is a 2009 and the guy already replaced them in 2012, they only lasted 3 years. Those current 2012's in there if they last 3 years, they will be dying soon too? Then I guess make the switch to 6 8v's

When parking/emergency brake starts to fail park cart till you get a new brake.
Look up and read for instructions or post for help / instructions for installing new brake.

Failure of parking brake usually starts with brake dragging and hot/burning smell.
Continuing to drive can cause encoder bearing failure or other problems.

Please don't continue to drive cart with bad/dragging brake - its not worth it.

Well maintained batteries can last over 4 years. If properly watered and
charged after every use, batteries should be good to go.

Standard EZ GO battery charger should be plugged in as soon as cart stops moving and left plugged in till cart moves again.

we have good service with Crown 12v batts, cost is reasonable.

if you want to get away from 12v--

When batts fail --- going to 6x8v requires battery tray change.
big job but doable. No new charger required.

If removing 4 bolts is a "Big job". Body removal is not required... Having a buddy to pull forward on front part of rear body is real helpful, but wedgeing a small prybar in has the same effect.
