s1 cable
ok, another one my carts a 97 48 volt club car the S1 cable got real hot too the point the S1 lug on the motor was cherry red. the cart has a 400 amp controller and a high speed motor. the cart was hauling some weight lol and in a little hilly terrain. once we got towed back to camp i noticed that the fuse on the negative lead was almost broke at the connection. would that have caused the issue? thanks guys

Re: s1 cable
Loose or poor connection on S1 lug.

Re: s1 cable
ok thought it could have been the F/R, replaced it with another. it was not the S1 it was the S2 cable on the motor lug. the lug has a little play but the cable is tight and it still gets hot

Quote:
If the stud has play in it, the wire to the stator coil (inside the motor) is loose, so it will get hot. |
