How can I get more speed with easy upgrades

You now have the answers for speed increases. Cables, etc. will be an improvement you may not even notice, unless this stuff is really messed up. Here is the path in the order I took with my cart for speed, torque, and performance improvements.
1. Plumquick Bandit Motor upgrade $ 225 + freight (very noticeable improvement in torque and speed)
2. New HD Solenoid (for future controller upgrade) Less than $ 100.00
3. Rebuilt Controller with more amps. Less than $ 300 (noticeable torque improvement)
4. New 2 ga cables do-it-yourself (about $ 125). Cooler cables/ no cable heat. Use Scootyb for the perfect done-by-others cables.
5. Went from 42 volt system to 48 volt system when 6 year old batteries died (Retail)
6. Scottyb HD FNR switch (less than $ 100.00) This should be done when you go to larger amp controller, not when I did it.
7. 20" rear tires - didn't want to lift cart (about $ 122) Measurable speed improvement per my GPS speedometer= about 2 mph with no real noticeable loss of torque.

I know it's different, but on my 96 txt sepex I built my own 2 gauge cables about $100.00
Altrax 400 amp controller and 400 to 1000 amp solenoid just under $500.00
New 48 v charger just under $200.00
2 more batteries under $250.00
I also went to 10 inch wheels and tires around $225.00
Top speed just under 32mph
next will disc brakes for the rear and either a plum quick or D&D motor

If you plan to use regen braking, go with the D&D. (I'm pretty sure Plum Quick recommends regen braking not be used - but check with them.)

Are you looking for more speed or more torque, or both?

Your tires are roughly 20.5" tall and if you are running stock (12.44:1) gears, you're are spinning your motor around 6500 RPM at 32 MPH, so check with the motor's manufacturer for Max Recommended RPM.

Thanks for the feedback.... Looks like all he suggestions above I have or tried. Looks like I will be buying a new motor. I have found a pretty good one (reviews say) that will bump speed up to 20 mph with factory controller.

looking for more speed I use the cart a lot for security here in the RV park and there are times I either have get somewhere in a hurry or catch someone speeding in the park.
The biggest incline we have in the park is the boat launch ramp.
A side note the problem I found a couple of months ago was a broken wire from the ignition switch caused by the extra battery on the right side, I didn't have it secured. Yeah I know that was dumb
