Good question - maybe because if the cart had the dynamic braking coil/solenoid removed and then got sold to someone else who re-plugged it in - they could find themselves almost bumping their head on the windscreen with the overly aggressive braking. Just a guess though.

That is what I was thinking. Does just cutting the green wire keep the roll away braking or something???

I see no difference in cutting the green wire and unplugging the sensor. Either way, the sensor is disabled. It just keeps the motor braking from turning on. It has nothing to do with the dynamic braking solenoid.
