My new project

Short story long, My son had a 1990 K5 that I had about $1500 tied up in. He blew the motor and I advertised for $2300. Dude offered this cart (AQ07xxx) to me for it. It runs out fine. Needs a little of my OCD in the battery compartment and when you crank the wheel all the way left you can hear and feel it keep turning and clicking. Immediate plans are to replace 4 x 12v batteries with 6 x 8v and fix steering issue. Much easier to sell a golf cart than a truck with blown motor. How'd I do?

Here's the K5. I think that guy has to spend a lot more on his new project than me

That is a nice looking K5. Looks pretty solid too. Guessing it had the TBI 5.7 in it? I'd drop another 5.7 in it and roll

Anyway, to the cart. It has the Allsports Super Sport lift and the IQ drive system among other things. I think you did pretty good

I contemplated it for a couple of years but at the end of the day I've got enough projects and really didn't need this one too. Body/frame was in great shape. I knew I could enjoy the cart with minimal expense and sell later if I want.
