Re: 08' Precedent Excel Controller Mod Problems
I'd call and see if I could get a code for it, but Club Car is closed for 2 weeks for inventory. So it's gonna be a little while.

Re: 08' Precedent Excel Controller Mod Problems
I'm not in a rush...
From the pic, does it look like a standard controller, or "prototype"? Any idea about why the front connector for the controller doesn't work? Should I look for certain wires not connected to the controller? Also, do you know what settings need to change to turn off regen braking? |

Re: 08' Precedent Excel Controller Mod Problems
Tahoedawg, any chance you can check with Club Car on the speed code, assuming they are done with inventory by now?
Also, do you know which settings I need to change to turn off regen braking? Appreciate the help... |

Re: 08' Precedent Excel Controller Mod Problems
Yeah I'll check. But if their system accepts the information theyre going to bill me for it. Call me or text me in the morning and let me know how you want to proceed. 706-836-7210. If it prints the code, it's going to be useless to you unless you have a Curtis Handheld machine to enter it into the controller. If it doesn't work, they're not going to take it back.

Re: 08' Precedent Excel Controller Mod Problems
SCEV: You should consider taking the $100-125 you will be spending for the speed code 4 and instead, purchase an XCT 48400 for your cart. Money ahead and then you will have control of the regen settings that you want as well as all the other settings. Purchase this controller from TahoeDawg who is contacting CC for you. You will be much more satisfied with that upgrade rather than a speed code for an Excel controller.
