Default Rear shocks on DS

I have the HD springs on the rear will adding shocks to rear help with the ride. It ride good with 4 people on it. If so what's a part Number to get some shocks from parts store thanks

no it will not help with ride , they only dampen the bounce and with 4 people your not going to bounce

If your problem is the ride is too stiff when you have no passengers in the rear seat...then you may have to remove a leaf from the HD springs. I think if you search the forums there have been several posting about this issue.

Like TheBoss stated those HD leafs are meant to carry weight before they feel comfortable. With no weight having shocks is a waste of money because they will never be in use. Those HD leafs will never deflect.

Same concept as driving a 3/4 ton PU. Rides like a truck, put a cord or two of wood in back and you'll think you're in a Cadillac.

Yes, just as CTD stated. Unfortunately they are not designed like car shocks, but I did see a set of air bag replacements a while back that was suppose to help. I think it was on ebay or somewhere.

31176 Monroe shocks is what I put on mine.

I used Monroe Gas Matic Shocks it will fit stock DS also
Monroe #31176 (also O'Reilly Auto #)
