precharge resistor burning
i have a 2009 club car ds that has been drained of charge. batteries are 2013yr and were in use often. the problem is that while on 48v jump charge to the pack, the precharge resistor across the solenoid is getting very hot and burning the plastic covering. where should i start diagnosing this problem? this is the first encounter with this kind of problem. thanks

Re: precharge resistor burning
The precharge resistor will only get hot if the controller is allowing the motor to draw amperage but the solenoid is not closed. This may be your first clue as to why the cart is dead.

Check out this thread. There could be two reasons for this. Controller or motor. Tahoe explains it better than I can. This ended up being the controller. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk |
