Speed Setting 1?
I just purchased a 2010 CC Precedent and it just chugs along on straightaways. The gentleman I purchased it from stated that many of the carts that were equipped with a cargo box on the back were programmed at Speed Setting #1. Does this sound correct? I am having a dealer come out this week to make the change to #3. I don't need this thing to fly around (younger kids) but it can't get out of it's own way right now. Batteries are 1 month old.
Thanks |

Re: Speed Setting 1?
It could be on code 1, makes some sense.
Up to code 3 is free except for service call. Speed code 4 has to be purchased by dealer through CC and programed into the controller. Dealers charge varies but is near $100. |

Re: Speed Setting 1?
I've never seen a vehicle set to speed setting 1. I think a bad speed sensor is a more likely situation here. Try this test and let us know what you find....

Re: Speed Setting 1?
Thank you both. How do the symptoms of bad Speed Sensor and Welded Solenoid differ?

Re: Speed Setting 1?
The CC tech just left. The speed setting was already set at 3. Just a new speed sensor. (Plus the $100 for the home visit PLUS $100 per hour labor) Oh well...it's just money.

You don't need the dealer when you've got Buggiesgonewild.com. Always check here before calling the dealer. We know more than they do. I'll bet my life savings on that.
