1996 potentiometer MCOR replacement question

Sorry if this is a repeat. Here is what I have. A 1996 club car DS with the potentiometer shown in the pic (continuous variable). I have replaced the solenoid, resistor and diode, F&W switch and the limit switch in the potentiometer. The solenoid clicks, motor bench tests good and I went through all the steps in the club car testing manual. I have come to this, I tested the ohms between the yellow and purple wires on the potentiometer and get nothing. Per the manual this would lead to a bad potentiometer. When trying to find a replacement it appears that it is no longer made. I see that there may be a conversion kit but I am as to which one I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Agreed - you might want to PM him directly to make sure you have eliminated any other causes - he might suggest some test you haven't done. In any case it would be money well spent, regardless. Those potentiometers were "very unsuccessful" (David would tell you even dangerous). He carries the MCOR 4 conversion kit for that item.

I talked to dave, great help! I'm going to go ahead and order the conversion kit from him as soon as I get paid, lol. I've chased this problem with my very amature skills and I hope I'm getting there after the first $600 spent. This cart will have all new electronics after this. I just wish there was a way to jump something on the three pin connector to see if I get the wheels turning so I know that this cvp/old mcor is the culprit. Thanks everyone for the help!

UPDATE: So after talking to Dave and coming to the conclusion that I have to order the mcor4 conversion kit I decided what was there to loose with my current potentiometer. I found an opening where the wires go into the box. I sprayed the inside with WD40 and had my daughter work the pedal a bunch. I sprayed a lot! I then hooked the battery up and BAM, the cart runs perfect. After all the new parts I put in chasing this problem it took a few sprays of crap I already had. I will eventually order the conversion but for now it is working. I don't know if it somehow it got dirty inside due to the fact that its always running on job sites and dirt roads. But again, thank you everyone for your input. On to the next problem.
