Default 2001 Cluc Car DS hesitation

Here is my issue fellow cart people.

I have a 48v 2001 Club Car DS. For as long as I have had it, it was hesitate when under a high load, such as going up an incline. It will occasionally do it when running pedal to the floor on level pavement as well. It is just a momentary cutting out of power, like a hiccup.

I've never concerned myself with it over the last two years, but we've started carrying it in the bed of my truck and it has a very hard time getting up there because of this problem.

It will do it fresh off the charger with the batteries fully charged and it's done it with both the old batteries and the new ones as well.

I've brought it to my shop to try an sort it out, and will be testing the solenoid this afternoon, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and resolved it.

Thanks in advance!

Check your MCOR or V-glide/Potentiometer. There is a linkage and the wiring or contacts for which ever you have. Then starting checking connections. I like to pull and re-seat any spade clips or small wires so I know there is not oxidation in-between them.

You are doing right by testing the solenoid, but if it is intermittent, you may need to try and listen for the drop out and clicks when it is occurring.

And if you do have the v-glide style, open it up and look at the wiper arm and contact pads. It could be loose or worn and out of adjustment.
