Ok....you gotta help me out with this one. How do you spray CRC spray white lithium grease on a disc for disc brakes and (I can understand a squeal going away) yet, still have the disc brake actually stop the cart? I mean....grease is grease? I put white lithium grease on my trailer hitch ball to keep it working smoothly and keep it from rusting.

I am not talking about pads, the slides and bolts that push the pads in and out and spring while I was at it. I sprayed liberally, pressed the brake pedal a few times and repeated.

It sure would have been easy to put brakes on at this point if I had 10 inch wheels. I need to fix rear axle problems first to see where I am at in the rebuild.

BTW, and IMHO (now that I understand the lithium grease thing. Thanks guys!!) If your going to put the rear disc brakes on, flip 'em upside down so the caliper is on the top and not the bottom. There are a few post here on how to do that. Seems pretty simple. (Way easier than your rear end issue!!)

Oh, wait until after install 'afore you begin any "special beverages."

Dave

PS.....My brother in law is a mechanic, and I suppose he would be asking the question....if the rear disc mechanism squeaks like that, then would it be possible and simple to just install via drill\tap a grease fitting to then do an easy "squirt" of grease when the mechanism begins to make a noise??

You can only flip the rear disc so it's up high on a stock cart. If you are lifted there's no simple way to flip the brake caliper, it has to hang down low.
