This is a new one for me... Never heard of anyone wanting less torque/speed!

[QUOTE=JohnnieB;962647]That trade won't work, or at least it won't work with the cart described in you Signature.

The motor firenfix has is a Spepex, you've got a Series.

Bummer!

Yep, it is usually people that sacrifice torque for speed, or speed for torque.

I wanted range, but ended up with both speed and torque, and don't want less of either.

Also, my wife enjoys driving our cart after I domesticated it, she wouldn't even ride in it when I first put the DCX500 and ES-76-51 in.

Amen to this, my wife would rather walk a mile than drive a hot-rod cart with big tires

It would be nice if the controller had user selectable performance profiles that could be readily changed without connecting up a computer.
Something akin to putting switches in the jumper wires of a Freedom Chip in a stock PDS.

Maybe Alltrax's next generation of Sepex controllers will have it.

We can dream .....

I just want them to finish the Sepex SPM

But they had time to produce a HD model of the SPM. I called Alltrax to find out it was the same controller with a waterproof molex type connector for the Ezgo .... The same controller that has a 2.5 inch hole in the side of it for the cooling fan ...... has a waterproof connector

If the innards are potted and there are some strategically placed drain holes, a waterproof connector might be a worthwhile addition.

I have seen some electronic gadgets that were supposed to operate down to 300' under water, yet didn't have watertight connectors on their umbilical cable, which was less than 300' long.

Knothead has a Sepex, & will make the same generous offer to trade him a "less torquey" stock motor!

I really don't need to change anything and was simply asking a question. The cart has more torque than I typically need, thought there might be a way to reduce some of that for smoother acceleration. I appreciate Scotty and JohnnieB's suggestions and will see what controller I have and if it can be adjusted/programed. To those who wish to trade me your stock motor, you will have to keep dreaming about having to decide between to much torque, to much speed or both
