Six 12v batteries under TXT seat
Picked up a 2002 ezgo txt a few weeks ago. It WAS a PDS cart but someone ripped off the motor, controller, ITS plunger, sensor and all wiring. They drilled through the input shaft and attached a chain sprocket alone with a go-cart motor. It was pretty bad but the frame was rust free mostly and body had no cracks. I took it home for $400.
Here's the frame stripped of all parts and the poor input shaft. I didn't get any other early pictures. I sand blasted the frame and a replacement rear axle housing. |

Re: Six 12v batteries under TXT seat
Had to move battery tray as far forward as I could (cut 1" out of frame) since it had to be about 5" longer front to rear.
Relocated rear axle aft 0.6" by re-drilling locating hole on mount plates to gain remaining clearance. Angled lift blocks were required to rotate axle straight up and down. Installed a 72v 400 amp reversing contactor as this was a series cart and I no longer have room for the stock f&r switch or linkage. Notice the nice D&D motor? It is a custom torque motor rated at ~3300 rpm @72v. Part number is ES-5E. |

Re: Six 12v batteries under TXT seat
And finally the trojan 12v batteries. Six under the seat. Has this been done before? I think not, I searched and didn't find anything like it. I could be wrong though...
