Re: Rxv battery cable question.
Funny, I just posted pretty much the same thing 2 minutes after you..must have been typing at the same time. I would like to know about the rest of the wiring as I already purchased the 4 gauge wires for the batteries and controller. You'll be really happy with the RXV.

Re: Rxv battery cable question.
I have not yet replaced my cables with the 4 gauge cables. If you use the search button towards the top you'll find numerous threads on the benefits of changing the cables. I wanted to know if I need to change the smaller cables(12 or14 gauge) that go to the motor with a white or clear clip( top driver side).

Re: Rxv battery cable question.
I dont think you will see a difference, its a reletively small controller (less than 300a). Changing the three motor cables are going to be difficult, they are soldered to the motor. The small wires dont need changed, they are tach sensor, temp sensor, and motor brake.

Re: Rxv battery cable question.
CGTECH,
Are there any aftermarket controllers yet for the RXV that could help with the low end torque issue? I hopefully will get an RXV this year. So how do you change out the motor cables on a RXV if they are solder to the motor? Is there real any benefit increasing cable size anyways since the cart is AC? Steve |

Re: Rxv battery cable question.
No controllers yet. If there were bigger amp controllers, bigger cables would be a benefit. Not sure how you might do motor cables, cut them off at the motor and solder bigger ones?
