Default cc motor on txt????

ok guys, i have an old junker cart i have been fixing up, sanded and painted frame etc... , now im at the point of powering options, i bought the cart for 50 bucks, no batteries, motor, controller, harness etc. just a rolling chasis with floor and dash and steering. my question is this, my friend has a stock cc precedent 48v motor for 50 bucks, works great and isnt that old, he put a plum quick motor in and its just layin around. Is there a way to mate it to the rear end of an ezgo txt ( 1998 ) and make a custom harness?? im pretty good with wiring so im sure i could make my own harness, but i dont know of a way to mate the cc motor to the ezgo rear end. would i have to buy a cc rear end?? or is there some kind of adapter or something that would make it easier??? would i have to find an entire rear end assembly from a cc to make it work??? what are my options guys?? and please no nay sayers saying it cant be done, or to just but another golf cart or whatever, i want to hear from people that have seen it or done it or know someone that has before or something. there has to be at least one way to do it!! thanks!!

well for starters......just so you know, there are 2 different types of drive systems. SERIES and SEPEX.....so you would need to know which type of motor the CC motor is, and IF it is "matable" to your rear end, you would have to put in the drive system that is compatible.

HOWEVER, there are a few things different about the motors:
1. the splines for the motor shaft are different.
2. the way they bolt to the differential housing is different

but seriously.....if you had a cheap CC rear end available......that would be the easiest way to do this.
