Both the Red and the Red/Wht wires on the Run/Tow switch should have B+ on them 100% of the time (unless it has a reed switch and the charger is plugged in)
The other two wire should have B+ on them when switch is in RUN position.

It has to have been connected to B+ someplace or it wouldn't have ran before it stopped running.

Butt connectors are problems looking for a place to happen. I solder and shrink tube or solder and wire nut connections.
DVM minus to 10 DVM+ to pack, meter shows pack voltage??

If you get pack voltage when DVM- lead is on Pin-10 and DVM+ lead is on main positive terminal of battery pack, you have an open someplace in the wiring going to Pin-10 from the main positive terminal on the battery pack.

Might be bad contacts in the Run/Tow switch.

Perhaps I misunderstood when you said "DVM minus to 10 DVM+ to pack, meter shows pack voltage??"

Just to be sure we are on the same page, connect the DVM negative test lead to the main negative terminal on the battery pack and leave it there.

Place F/R in F
Turn Key ON.

With the DVM positive test lead, measure the voltage at the following spots and post them.

Main Positive terminal on battery pack =?
Pin-6 =?
Pin-7 =?
Pin-9 =?
Pin-10 =?

Is the Green LED on?

6-7-and -9, show 51v pack voltage no light on controller pin 10 0 voltage, move minus dvm lead to pos pack voltage, pin ten then shows 51v pack voltage.

Plus shmbo is on my case to get her cart running, to make her happy I did the brakes this morning, and I'm replacing the frt axle, now hopefully now all she needs is the batteries,

With + battery pack voltage on Pin-10, the controller will not power up, so the LED will not illuminate.

Reading pack voltage on Pin-10 when the DVM - test lead is moved to the main positive terminal on the battery pack, tells me Pin-1 is somehow connected to the battery pack's main negative terminal.

Something frightfully wrong with the cart's wiring.

I believe it is time to pull the wire loons apart and physically trace the wire from PIN-10 and find out what it is connected to.
