Re: 05 48v club car wont move
He said the solenoid clicked when he turns the key on. If it were welded closed I'm not sure you would hear a click. I may be wrong.

A click doesn't tell you anything about the electrical condition of the solenoid.

Re: 05 48v club car wont move
I have charged the batteries up and theyre not really stable you can watch the meter drop in voltage without the charger hooked up so I know that's a problem as well but it still has a little more than 48v which I find normal for all the golf carts we have here ill reroute the negative cable through the obc and I will ohm the solenoid out. but now at all times I have pack voltage at the one big post of the solenoid and roughly 1.5v less on the other. with the blue and white wire off the solenoid doesn't click, after hooking the wire back up to the solenoid it doesn't even click at all. im going to check all the voltages at all wires on the solenoid to be sure. if the solenoid is bad ill change it I have another one on the shelf for it but I just replaced that one about a month ago thanks again guys I really appreciate it

Re: 05 48v club car wont move
I have pack voltage at the blue/white wire as soon as the key is turned on, and without the pedal being depressed. with the key off the voltage goes away. if I depress the pedal with the key off I get roughly 2.5v at that wire.

Re: 05 48v club car wont move
The 1.5 volts less on the other side of the solenoid tells me the solenoid is not welded close, if it were the voltage would not change.
I'm assuming the voltage on the blue/white wire is red probe on pack pos and black probe on blue/white wire. If this is correct, remove the 2 pin connector from the mcor and try the test. |

Re: 05 48v club car wont move
no that's with the red lead on the blue/white and the black lead on the pack neg
with red probe on pack pos and black on blue/white and key off I have pack voltage with red probe on pack pos and black on blue/white key on I have little to no voltage reading on my meter *all test without have pedal depressed so far* |

with the 2 pin connector on the MCOR disconnected the solenoid clicks when you turn the key on or switch the f/r rocker swith to different direction

Re: 05 48v club car wont move
The blue/white supplies neg. to solenoid coil. There should be no voltage with one meter lead on blue/white and the other on pack neg. unhook the blue/white wire and check blue/white wire to pack neg. Should not have voltage.
If you don't have voltage, the coil in the solenoid is shorted. Bad solenoid. |

Re: 05 48v club car wont move
What controller is on this car? If it's a Curtis, it's not supposed to signal a solenoid click when the key switch is turned on. Something tells me it may be an aftermarket controller.
