2002 TXT - 14" Rear and 12" Front Wheels?
I sort of like that raked look from the '60s and 70's. Seems feasible to use 12" wheels up front and 14" in the rear. Realizing that 12" wheels and up to a 20" tire are okay with a stock height cart what sort of lift would be required for using 14" wheels in the rear? I'm not sure of typical tire sizes on a 14" wheel but assume I'd want something in the 22" range to achieve the look I'm looking for.
In general, is this line of thinking a bad idea? Thoughts? Thanks, Pat Arnold |

Yes, it is do-able. Check out TerryH's thread:
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/road-...zgo-build.html There is a lot of good information there. Too bad his cart didn't turn out all that well since he is such a slacker: |

Re: 2002 TXT - 14" Rear and 12" Front Wheels?
Wheel diameter doesn't determine tire diameter. It is only the size of the hole in the middle.
A high profile tire on a 12" wheel can be taller than a low profile tire on a 14" wheel. In other words, you might be able to get the look without lifting. Not saying anything for or against lifting, just suggesting the consideration all the possibilities. |

I read Terry's build up. I must have missed the wheel/tire specifics. I'll dig into it again, thanks! Pat |

A couple more factors to take into account: Altering the height of the rear tires alters the cart's performance. Altering the sidewall height alters the ride. |

put a 2" or 4" rear lift kit on it and use the same tires/wheels all the way around.
