RXV build.................
I'm finaly making some headway on this cart. Got the lights and street legal stuff installed. I used the delux light kit from a site sponsor, Buggies Unlimited, and it was spot on. The lights, turn signals, horn ect. all worked first time, the wiring was just right. A great kit!!
I also installed a gas guage kit that I picked up at the Ace for a marine install. I had to cut and bend the sender arm and float for the shallow tank but it was a no brainer. Then I got the Trail Tech speedo/tach installed. A little more difficult but no major problems. It made a neat install and I like the speedo more than anything. It will do many different things, mileage, air temp, elapsed time, head temp, ect,ect,ect......... I've got some questions I hope someone can help with. How wide is the drive belt on the RXV supposed to be? Also what is the operating temp for these 13 hp Kawasaki motas? I've been watching the head temps since I installed the Trail Tech and it's been running from 150's to 180's but it's been a bit chilly lately. The Trail Tech has a warning light setup for heat so that you can set them for whatever temp you need. The new tires and lift kit should be here Monday so I can get it looking like something, I'm tired of looking up at everyone arround here. Lots of lifted carts ........... Here's a couple of pics of the dash......... |

The trail tech unit is awesome, I love mine. Speedometer, engine temp, odometer, hour meter all in one head unit is nice. 2 day free shipping factory direct is nice to. You have to make a bracket for the speed sensor at the hub ,but that is easy.
