Default Yamaha G1 throttle cable install

Have just received new throttle cable for my G1 and was wondering if I should take this opportunity to bypass the govenor and maybe remove exhaust butterfly and rods that are attached. What do the members of BGW think about this idea. Also was toying with the idea of starting to premix my fuel and doing away with the oil injection system. Your thoughts please.

Highly suggest the premix been doing mine at 100:1 for two years now they hardly use any fuel so it's not bad to premix once a month.....I took butterfly completely out and welded up the hole that the shaft of the butterfly rotates in.... As for the bypassing the govener if you ever plan on hooking it back up its best to hook cable directly to carb but I never planned on hooking mine back up so I drilled out the hole on the "govener arm" on top of the differential so the shaft coming out of the differential rotates freely and just tack welded a washer on top to keep the governor arm from sliding up then you don't have to worry about fabricating anything to hook throttle cable directly to carb iv attached three pictures first one is arm with hole drilled out second is the arm resting in its place third is with washed tacked on just make sure you tack weld it to the shaft not the arm you want the arm to turn freely of the shaft
