Default G9 no spark, need diagnostic help

I am using a spark tester on the plug and a head bolt. There is a three wire connector going to the coil, at the connector I have tested the ground, black wire=good, I have good key on power(while gas peddle is depressed) at the red and white middle wire, the orange wire does not get power no matter what I do (is that my problem?).

I have a multimeter and a Mac Intermittent Short Detector. I have plugged in a new ignitor, coil is only a few years old.

I do not know what to do next except buy a new coil, but that may not be my problem.

Any help appreciated, weather just turned nice here in the Mid-South and I sure could use this running.

It is an early G9, if that matters,

I tested the orange and red/white wires at the coil connections and got the same results.

I wiggled the wires going into the ignitor and got intermittent spark, so apparently my new ignitor is bad and the wires are bad on the old ignitor.

Going to order another new ignitor tomorrow,

Now no matter how much I wiggle the wires, I can not get spark, I will follow up in case any of this might help someone else.

John, it is suggested that you use only Gunuine Yamaha parts!! If you got China knock off's,(eBay), it more than likely will be JUNK!! Especially with electronic parts!!

You can test your coil with a battey or charger, it will spark when you let go
