Yamaha gas G16A won't crank or run

My Yamaha gas golf cart will not start or run when pedal is depressed. I can here faint click when pedal is depressed. it did this once before and we wiggled the ignition cable and it began working. No luck this time

Break out a test light or (preferably) a volt meter and see where you have power and where you don't. Ignition switch, stop switch (under gas pedal), solenoid, starter. If that all checks out OK then go through the grounds. Or if your "slight click" sounds like it's coming from the solenoid try checking the grounds first. Maybe even just run a jumper cable from the battery (-) terminal to a good ground on the engine and see it that makes a difference. If it does it tells you it's a ground connection issue somewhere.

There is a "sticky" that follows the starting circuit.

Very common to have wiring issues on these, you could have a bad connection at battery posts, the gen posts, the solenoid including the small wires that run the solenoid. Also check the ground wires. I would check all that first before you buy any parts. Check all the connectors and connections, and don't forget the ground wires because all grounds are wired they are not to the frame like a car.
