Default What is this? G1/G2 something else?

Please help me out, the serial number says it's a G1, it has the 2 stroke engine. I'm wanting to replace the headlights and add some other things, just need to know what parts to get.

Sure looks like a G1 to me but I haven't seen that headlight set up before. Those headlights may be from something else that someone made fit.

That looks like a Yamaha G1 to me and someone custom fitted in the headlights

Its a G1 yamahauler, from around 1985/6/7 maybe. Never seen lights like that. They also made one with a wider box that hung out the sides. Far as I know its stock aside from the alum rear body, though it may have had a different spring in the secondary judging by the way they ran, they would haul that box full of three huge coolers full of beer and ice, plus other stuff, up big hills too, with two cute girls on it.

Thanks everyone. Do you think those might be G2 headlights?

I doubt that they are from a G2.. most of the older buggies didn't have lights, if you wanted lights you have had to add them. Not like today where the carts come with headlights and tail lights.

It is a G1-a 1979 to 1981 looking at the solenoids and steel rear inner fenders. Was common practice to use an aftermarket cargo box/side kit then. The head light plastic buckets were aftermarket, most likley H-3 bulbs.

It should have a serial number on the frame usually behind the driver rear tire or on the shock mount tube on the top back side. That will tell you year. They sold them around here in the mid to late 80s, but I don't know what year they came out. Pretty good shape considering year, usually the utility carts got beat on.

Look on the rubber joint that the carb goes into. It should have a number on there that you can lookup to find the year
