Default G9 not running correclty

working on new to me golf cart; this one has sat for a few years and we don't know much about why it was parked. This is my first cart, so building knowledge as quickly as possible doing searches, and reading.

other than blowing the dust and dirt off engine, I have drained and added new gas and a new tire. The cart will barely move and sputter, BUT when I pull the choke out it runs on full power. So I am assuming its not getting enough gas?

I haven't found an inline fuel filter, should these have one?
I have read reference to "G2/G9" , does this mean these models are that similar?
Going to change oil, next. Will this have a oil filter? Believe I read a post it only takes one quart no matter what oil stick reads? Just looking for opinions on what oil and any tips.

thanks
Kevin

Just a quick update after doing some more reading. I discovered the air box/filter (?) could create this scenario and noticed ours had a crack in the front with a small piece out. I took it apart, cleaned the filter then put back together and used duck tape to cover up the small gap. BIG difference!! now she's running better, no chugging or intermittent stop go. I'm not sure if its 100% as when the choke is pulled out it still runs noticeably faster, but this may be normal? Changing oil next...

Yes air box needs to be sealed 100% also might want to pull the carb and give it a good cleaning... On these the fuel filter actually screws into the tank
