Voltage regulator wiring
/Will putting the regulator solenoid wire on the wrong big terminal burn up the regulator

Possibly. The regulator should only have power when the engine is running. The red wire needs to go on the same post as the White cable that goes to the starter.
If it's on the constant hot side of the solenoid, it will have power all the time and will drain the battery at the very least. |
