Wow I always take the body off when removing a motor, just easier in my opinion. More room to work.
I ordered the tappet caps earlier this summer for a rebuild, I just bought two of every size. I think it cost me around $70. That's what I would do. But if you just want to order the one you need you'll need to mic the one that's out of spec (the exhaust) so you know what you currently have in there, and then order one that gets you within spec. |

A new problem. Was not running so I just put on a new carburetor. Didn't help. Took it off and put permatex on the gasket. Now it runs poorly. Makes little difference if the adjustment pin is all the way in or all the way out. Runs better when I hold in the choke in.
Also have oil coming out the breather tube. |
