1992 Coil/ignitor to all-in-one coil
So I have seen talk of converting the older pre 1997 coil/ignitor as separate parts to the 1997 and up all in one style. What I am unsure of is this just a bolt on a new style coil and re-route the igniter wire install or is it a special coil designed for the older models but having the igniter built in? In other words can I install the '97 & up unit on my '92 without issue, besides connecting the igniter wire?

Re: 1992 Coil/ignitor to all-in-one coil
The new style coil will bolt on in place of the old one. There is almost no difference in the external appearance.
Remove the igniter and remove or tape off the wire. |
