Default FE350 Carb Issue. Ricky Bobby Mode

I recently fixed up a project 2004 club car carryall 2 with fe350 engine

After replacing the camshaft, it runs, but doesn’t want to idle/go slowly. You can haul ace (aka ricky bobby mode) but if you stop, it will strand you until it cools off. Starts back every time. Seems to be flooding.

This is a pedal start, but I pulled the black wire in the box to see if I could idle and make adjustments while working on carb. It doesn’t idle to work on it.

Have cleaned the carb with carb cleaner, and blown out with compressor. Have ultrasonic cleaner, but that seems excessive.

It leaks from the carb bowl, can’t tell if it’s overflow or not.

What’s the factory turns on the idle air mixture?
Which direction ccw/Cw leans and which enriches?
Does the slow speed jet not have a hole through top to bottom? It looks as if it’s designed to not.

Any advice for this? My kids love riding with me, but I essentially have to floor it to get it moving and I don’t like doing this with them on it!

Update

My vent line off the carb was gone, so I put another one on and this is where it’s leaking from. And by leaking, I mean pouring a continuous stream out

Overflow bowl is fine and not leaking

Adjusted the mixture tab all the way lean, and turned the idle up.

It stumbles, but stays idling most of the time.

So what could be causing the vent to pour out gas?

Float is either bad or stuck.

Ding ding ding haha float for the win

I’m man enough to say it. User error. I dropped the carb bowl and the float was sitting in it.

I guess those float pins are kind of important

Slid the float pin back in and it’s good. Oops
