2000 Club Car Gas Belts
Having a hell-of-a-time,Cant seem to BUY the right starter/gen belt.Everyone i get is either too short or too long. Some have been too wide.I just installed the last one...it just barely sits in the groove.Rides at the very top.Slips but belt is TIGHT.At 73yrs old its a hard task for me to do these belts.
Will it "wear" in place? |

Re: 2000 Club Car Gas Belts
Call David hicks at revolution golf cars and get an oem belt. The aftermarket ones never fit right or last very long either. They do as you say and ride at the top of the pulley, so the contact patch is small and they slip.
No it won’t wear in. I’d put money on it breaking one of the bands inside the belt, flipping itself inside out and then either breaking or shredding and ending up inside the sheaves of the driven clutch so you have a hell of a time digging them out. Don’t ask me how I know |
