Default Replacing counter balance connecting rod Bearings on 2001 kawasaki fe290

Hello, This is my time using this forum and I have learned a lot by just reading others posts and topics. I'm currently rebuilding my 2001 club car Ds that has the Kawasaki fe290 motor. I'm looking for help or a way to remove the counterbalance connecting rods from crank to replace the warn out bearings.

Thank you

The rear one will fall off when you remove the crankshaft. Though, the bearing in that one is usually fine.

You’ll need to press off the gear to remove the one in the front (clutch side) of the engine. That’s the one that usually has play and makes noise. I use a shop press, don’t think there’s any way around it DIY. But you can buy a shop press at harbor freight for under 200 bucks to do the job and it’s still cheaper than a replacement crankshaft.

Thanks... CP241 for the info. I will def. consider a DIY job and buy the tools if can't find someone do it at an reasonable price. (Still searching0 Defiantly cheaper that buying a new crank. Cranks are usually fine as long as it gets oil.
