Default Curtis cab door latches on carryall

I have what I assume is a Curtis cab on my carryall. I only guess its a Curtis cab because thats the only kind of cab I've ever heard of being on these carts.

I am looking for a door latch. My drivers side is wore out, I'm assuming the spring. Passenger side is fine, still stays latched. The drivers side is wore out and lets the door pop open when you hit a bump. I could tear it apart but its riveted, I figured if anybody knew where to just buy a replacement I would. If not I will have to take it apart. Or possibly somebody has a cab sitting around they might have parts off of.

It bolts to the door with four screws, has a round handle. pics attached. Any ideas appreciated

I have one but it is a bit different. My driver's side is almost worn out. the pin in the latch is gone and I rigged it with a thin bolt. If you find a source for these please post it here. I can't find one.

so i pulled the latch to measure again to find a match. realized there is a part number on the inside of the latch part that is almost worn off because its the latch that holds the door shut. Literally the latch that is metal on metal so it was almost wore off.

So i pulled thh passenger side and it wasn't as worn off and I was able to read it. Also realized there is a manufacturer name in small pressed print that i somehow missed on the inside.

Eberhard mfg - and the number on the latch is 4821-10

I think the 4821-10 is a part number because the non locking latch with the inside release knob that i need is 4820. I have verified all the measurements are the same.

Going to try to call them tomorrow

I picked up one of these almost the same week as you. I have wanted a cab for my carryall 2 for a couple years but never seem to find one. I bought a 97 carryall with the cab and the van box back. I kept the cab and box and resold the 97 carryall. I love the cab but the back plastic wall has me worries that if it ever breaks the cab will be useless. I am not sure if it is a Curtis brand cab or not. My side window latches are worn out and the bottom of the windshield that flips out is so hazy it should be replaced.

My front flip out window is yellow too, probably because its plastic and got lots of sun vs the glass windshield. I took my doors off in the summer and I plan on taking my rear and possibly my front windshield out in the summer next year. I know if I only have the rear windshield out it will blow everything from the bed into the cab, so thats why I was going to take out both.

If you ever need to take your cab off it is also way easier to do it in three pieces. It's about9 or 10 bolts. I took it off in one piece the first time and realized I could put it back together way easier in three pieces. Also makes handling it way lighter and less awkward.

Mine had a small heater in the passenger glove box that I removed and a fan that isn't hooked up as well.

Also, I know you mentioned you were worried about breaking the rear windshield. Mine looks like they have hit it with anything and everything they put in the bed (it was owned by a property maintenance company) it has so many scratches. I was more personally worried about replacing that glass windshield. Probably not cheap or fun - but having said that I have no idea if replacement glass is available for front or back. But at least the back is plastic.

The van back has barn style rear doors and it does flip just like the cargo bed. My son likes riding in the enclosed back and I have had several adults in there as well, to test safety. It is pretty easy to switch from cargo bed to “camper” style. We plan to have it wrapped in some cool design to use at the campground this summer.

I had one of those too. Complete with working windshield wipers and a club car fan

Mine was older, think it was a 91 or 92 with the KF82 so maybe different style doors slightly. But it had simple “twist” handles with a catch that sat in a groove.
