1982 ez go 244 cc complete rebuild pictures
here are some pictures of the rebuild
we split the block pressed out the old bearings you can see they are shot, cleaned up the block with brake cleaner. next we pressed the new bearings in and crank shaft, than we put the blocks together, make sure you seal the halfs together with a anaerobic type sealant so they dont suck any air in. than we put the new cylinder block and piston , rings , gaskets and head on ,make sure you torque everything to the specs, than put the rest of the engine together . Its really was not to hard to do . If you have any questions on this rebuild of this 244 cc engine ,please ask here on the forum.. thanks brad |

Brad, thanks for the pics, do you care if I add the part 2 thread to this one so it'll be just one thread?

Re: 1982 ez go 244 cc complete rebuild pictures
Hi, do the two halves need to be pressed back together on the crank or is there another way. I thought that some people said that it has to be pressed together. Just wondering if it can be heated, tapped on with rubber hammer, pulled together with bolts, etc before I get started putting it back together. THanks

Hmm, this thread is almost two years old so Brad may not still be here. Perhaps this will help.
