Default 1992 EZGO, what lift kit, wheels, etc?

Hey guys I'm new here. I got a new (to me) golf cart the other day. It's a 1992 Ezgo 2-stroke. I am using it as a golf cart, but would like to fix it up a little. It's actually in great condition and the engine was just rebuilt by my uncle, now it runs great.

Couple of questions. What is a good/easy lift kit around 3-4"? Don't want it to look like a 4x4, but woud like to stuff some 12"-14" wheels under it if possible. Can you guys help me select some parts, etc? Like I said I'm new to this deal as I've always played golf and used friends/family carts that are all "newer" models. I love this old "vintage" beast...pretty cool. Just like to "pimp" it a little bit.

Let me know what you think. What lift kit, wheel size, and tire size.

Kyle

what you have is a marathon model. you can get an inexpensive lift kit for around $100 from one of the sponsors at the top of this forum, also on ebay.

good luck and welcome.

this is a 5" lift with stock tires

Thanks for the info and pics! I appreciate it.

I got the lift kit ordered now I just need to work on wheels. Do I want to go gangsta (lol) with some 12" or 14" wheels or go more like a 10" wheel with 22" tires? That's probably more my style, but not sure. They have to be turf tires as this will still be used as a golf cart. What do you guys think?

those will work well. i would also check with the sponsors-call them. they often have closeouts and specials plus free shipping and a discount for bgw members.

Hi all. Popatop I am doing a 92 also and I really like the looks of yours so I bought a 4" lift kit and ordered the same size tires as yours. I haven't received the tires or the lift kit yet but was looking just now at my cart and wondering if the tires are going to need spacers to set them out from the cart? It looks a little tight in the rear. Do you have spacers ( I guess that's what they call them) on yours?

Thanks for your advice.
