Re: Ezgo marathon project - complete novice!!!
The TXT cowl wasnt really as hard as I thought it was going to be, more trial and error. I read a post on here - Brewcitymusic I think it was and he had done it and posted a couple of pics, so I had a rough guide. It was just a case of grinding the front chassis strut and taking the corners out of the dash tray plate. If you look in the previous pics, you can see where its been altered and by how much.
In regards to colour, Im thinking of something along the lines of the pics below. The problem I'm having is if I want the flame effect on it, or should I just go solid purple with the rainbow flake? Im just not sure.....Any ideas? |

Re: Ezgo marathon project - complete novice!!!
Here is a pic of my new wheels that are awaiting tyres and fitting etc once the lift kit gets shipped....12" x 6", just waiting to see if I can get 23x8.50-12 or 23x10.0-12's on it. As these wheels are made for a classic mini. Purchasing wheels from the US including shipping worked out to be veeeeery expensive, so had to find some nice looking wheels with the same stud pattern here in the UK. I think I may have to remove hubs and extend the studs though to allow for big *** spacers
Has anyone done this before? |

Re: Ezgo marathon project - complete novice!!!
Postman has just turned up with my Ipod docking port, mini 300w mp3 amp an cable......Im thinking of fibreglassing the dock into my adjusted dash, running the cables through, so Ive got a permanent charger for me my Iphone and also it doubles up as a docking station. Ill make some speakers boxes that will fit under the cowl behind the main dash so that it wont be seen. Some of the people at my golf club have pre warned me that I wont "be allowed a mod'ed golf buggy at the club" lol bloody joke but they are a snooty lot at times. I personally dont see the issue.

Re: Ezgo marathon project - complete novice!!!
Hi crownman,
I'm based about 30 miles north of London. Yes, a lot of truck stuff, I own a storage and distribution company, hence the buggy is in random places of my warehouse! And yes they are minilites! Good spot! I got some more done today, had a slight mishap with the modified dash, the filler cracked so had to dig it all out and extend the ally supporting frame, and fibreglass end the crap out of it, but got there in the end. I've also fitted chequer plate flooring, and some more accents on the centre. And I've spent a lot of hours today on fabricating a part that fit in the cups, that will become a docking station once wired in and will also have speakers, amp etc running off it. |
