They aren't hard to rebuild, fun in fact, if you like to tinker with things.

We have the manual on this site, usually at the top of the forum for EZ go
GAS, and it tells you exactly what to do.

If it didn't punch a hole in the case, I would just get a set of rings
and hone out the cylinders, and maybe get a gasket set if you aren't good
at cutting them out of stock gasket material..
Basically you just take it apart and put it back together, the manual has step by step if you know what I mean.

Another option is to get an engine cradle for a "clone" replacement, and buy the adapter bushing from CPP and slam an old honda or clone engine in there..or go big block.

If you have the 35 c, that is the 350 so you are going to want at least 11 or so HP to be happy. Again, if it was me, I would hose it off, then air hose it, then snatch the engine set it on the bench and replace the rings and stuff and be on my way.

I have had pretty good luck rehoning and putting rings in them, mixmatched rods
, etc.. its pretty simple, just about everything is 10 mm except for the head bolts and crankshaft ..

if it wont turn, I would bet the rods are welded to the crank. so he will need more than just rings and gaskets.

you wont know what all you need until it is removed and taken apart.

Ok, if the rest of the block is ok, (most of the time they weld to the crank, or one does, and breaks) and the cylinder walls are ok, just get two new rods and a set of rings and bring it back to specs.

That aluminum will clean right off that crank, if it doesn't have any serious dings in it , it will be fine. I have a crank down the street from me that has had two rebuilds done on it, and its fine.

The rods are the same part number for the 295 and the 350. I have one 295 rod and one 350 rod in
my EH35 (350) and it runs fine and purrs.. I got the motor with a hole in the side, I used JB weld and
a piece of scrap to seal the block, it had one broken rod. I used an old 295 rod, and the good one, and the old rings, in other words, didn't spend a dime, and it is fine.

In retrospect on this engine I should have waited and put a set of rings in it, but I have a vtwin I am
putting in (like the last two I had) sitting on the shop floor waiting.

Regards !
