New drive clutch and the belt is still slipping
So ever since I've had my 95 medalist it doesn't want to climb hill real good. I put it in what I would call a stress test, I parked on a good steep hill and gave it gas. The drive clutch started spinning on the belt, it seemed as if it wasn't closing good. So saved a little money and bought a new drive clutch for it. I thought I had it all figured out. I put the new clutch on and it's still spinning on the belt and kinda jumpy. What should I do?

Is this the right belt for my 95 medalist? Besides the driven clutch this is all I can't think of

The picture, to me anyways, looks like the belt is to loose. Does the driven clutch open when you give it gas in neutral? Mine wouldn't climb small hills, before I did the clone swap, come to find out my driven clutch was stuck in the closed position. Yours looks like the belt is to loose though.

Re: New drive clutch and the belt is still slipping
Yea I have watch videos of people taking them off and mine is just really easy. But I went to my local golf cart guy and this is what he said fit on mine. The driven clutch does open and close, I honestly don't think it would hurt to replace it anyways. After I replace my wife's phone I crushed with the cart today

Re: New drive clutch and the belt is still slipping
The driven clutches are expensive, you can get a rebuild kit for them for about $50. You should be able to adjust the belt tension a little bit. I can't remember though, its been over a year since I pulled the stock motor out. By the way, for the money you are spending on clutches you could have got the Vegas Carts clone motor. Over 20hp out of the box, you can't beat them.

I have thought about a clone motor, but I just don't know where to even begin on one of those. And if anybody knows how to adjust the belt that would be awesome.
