What EZGO??????
Hi guys. I need some help from the ezgo experts here!! I am picking up my buddies cart from the campground and bringing it home to work on it. I need to order a ton of parts, but don't want to order wrong of course!! He doesn't know what model/year it is, but he has the serial#'s.
ezgo - 830157 - K2394 Here is my question: according to the websites, the second number indicates year (last two digits), so if that were true it would be a 1994. However, I put in the 830157 on the shopezgoparts.com and it came back with a 1995 gas medalist. This contradicts two things: 1) the year doesn't match, 2) they say these carts had a metal body. This one is plastic. Attached is the only picture I have at the moment, and its a terrible picture. I am getting more from the owner and will post as soon as he sends them to me. Any idea what I am looking at, or why these numbers don't jive? |

Re: What EZGO??????
Did he buy it new or used? Has the body been changed?

He bought it used. We don't know if the body's been changed or not. We know the guy put a expensive paint job on it, so I guess there's a possibility that it has been changed.

The best thing to do is get a pic of the engine, this will tell for sure what is there. Also look on the timing belt cover should be a white tag, one ends in 292, the other is 350.

Raise the seat and see if there is a pipe hoop frame on each side just under where the seat sits. If it does then it's a medalist that someone changed the body on. At least I know the hoop is on the electric medalist. Not sure about the gas but I think it has one too.

Here is LostHusker's gas cart. See the hoops right above his fuse panel?

Don't know about a workhorse. Someone on the board told me medalist had the hoop and TXT's didn't.

But as far as parts for them, they interchange pretty well. I have a 95 medalist and I usually order parts for a txt. I haven't run across any parts that wouldn't work, so you should be fine. That's at least my 2 cents.

Re: What EZGO??????
But by the way I'd like to see close up pics of it especially inside around the motor. I have a freshly painted txt body that I'm gonna put on mine, it will match my f250. I'd like to see from the inside how the body fits
