Yep, a 12 volt car battery should do fine.

Re: 1987 ezgo gas marathon gx444 2 cycle
So i hooked up battery , nothing happening. Can i hook up directly to the starter ? Theres like 5 wires though .... Marked a b c d and such.
Any help is appreciated. I guess one more thing sitting on cart key should be turned which way ? Theres no markings on key theres center and i can turn it either way. Maybe turning it wrong way ? |

This wiring diagram should help. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/attac...n-retrofit.jpg
Try jumping from the positive battery terminal to the far side of the solenoid. Jumping straight to the starter itself I believe is F1, and A1. You can search that on here to be sure. It has been several months since I did that. |
