Default Low torque

I have a 2012 txt 48v I have recently added a 6" lift 25" tires, xct 500 alltrax controller, HD solenoid, and a b2 motor. After the install I don't feel the 70% increase everyone has posted on the all terrain package like they promote. I feel I lost torque from what my stock controller was giving me I do feel like I gained speed. Could anyone give me some direction.

Also when you push the accelerator agreesivly it feels like it falls on its face until it gets going after just easing into it.

What field map do you have installed in the controller?

That is to expected with 25" tires. The larger the tire diameter at the road, the more torque it takes to turn it. Way too much overkill in tire size. If you want tires that large, change the rear end gears to compensate so the motor is not handicapped so much.

Did you upgrade your cables to 2 AWG? All cables must me upgraded. That is very important for torque.

Yeah get it plugged into the Alltrax program and your problem will be obvious

Are your 25" tall tires on-road or off-road type?

Are you comparing the perceived torque from the stock (250A) controller with stock height tires or with the 25" tall tires?

Alltrax recommends a minimum of 2Ga cables with a 500A controller.

Also, there are more than one field map for an MOT-B2.

Going from a 250A controller to a 500A controller (575A peak) will up the low end torque by 50% only if the motor is capable of drawing 50% more amps.

I'm not sure how much higher the MOT-B2's torque is than the stock motor, but it would have to be 20% to get the theoretical 70% increase.

However, the increased tire height will reduce the torque, so the 70% won't be obtained. (Going from 18" to 25" is a 28% reduction in torque where rubber meets road)

In addition to the above possible issues, your XCT may not be optimally programmed for the way you want your cart to perform, so post screenshots of the settings.

Yes sir I tried the stock controller on the 25" tires done relatively good top speed around 18 and could climb a slight grade nothing major though. I was expecting a big boost with the new controller, solenoid, and motor. The stock cottoller was way smoother taking off than new alltrax it is jerky to say the least.

What was your top speed with the stock height tires installed?

Specs for a fleet cart is 10.2MPH to 14.8MPH and the freedom version is 19MPH. In either case, the XCT should have kicked it up to over 20MPH on stock tires.

Going to 25" tall tires should have had a theoretical speed increase of 38.9%, but due to the 28.0% torque loss, actual speed gain will be less.

Something is holding you back, need to see the XCT settings.
